How we work

Our studio is in İzmir; we work across Türkiye, mostly in the Aegean and Mediterranean. For distant projects, site visits follow a pre-agreed schedule.

Yes. A flat renovation or a small house deserves as much care as a large public building. We look less at scale than at a shared wish to do good work.

Our fees are calculated according to the building’s area, class and scope, based on the Chamber of Architects’ minimum fee schedule. After the first meeting we provide an itemised written proposal.

Design and permits usually take 4–7 months for a house and can exceed a year for larger buildings. Construction time depends on size and contractor. We share a realistic programme at the first meeting.

The choice is always the client’s. On request we prepare tender documents, collect bids from reliable contractors and workshops we know, and compare them technically.

We prefer to present design through models and drawings, and prepare visualisations when needed. Every visualisation we publish is clearly labelled.

By law, intellectual property in an architectural work belongs to its author; the client has the right to use the design for the building defined in the contract. This is set out clearly in the contract.

Yes. Some meetings can be held by video, and we share drawings and model photographs online. But we insist on seeing the site or space together at least once.
