Studio profile
AKSORAN was founded in İzmir in 2012 by Defne Aksoy and Kerem Tunalı. The ten-person team of architects, interior architects, a landscape architect and a conservation specialist runs every process from site to handover at the same table. The studio’s work centres on belonging to place, daylight and the careful detailing of a few honest materials. Completed, ongoing and planned projects range across housing, culture, education, healthcare, hospitality and public space, from the Aegean and Mediterranean to Central Anatolia.
